Fans are demanding that we get another solo movie starring Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man. Previously, Tobey Maguire brought Peter Parker to life on the big screen in Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man movie trilogy. There were plans for a fourth installment, but when those were shelved, the franchise was rebooted with Garfield starring in The Amazing Spider-Man in 2012. It was followed up with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014. Before we move further in this article, heed this SPOILER ALERT and know that there are some spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Because of the rise of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios once again rebooted Spidey by bringing Tom Holland into the fray. With the recent premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home, this means Holland has now had his own trilogy of Spider-Man movies as well. Of the three big screen Spider-Men, this makes Garfield the odd one out. Like Raimi and Maguire, Garfield was also planning to do more Spider-Man only for those plans to crumble with another reboot taking over.

With Holland releasing his third movie, and with characters like Jamie Foxx's Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 among others showing up in No Way Home, fans are wanting Garfield's third movie now more than ever. Tens of thousands of Marvel fans are banding together to call for this to happen online, making The Amazing Spider-Man 3 trending. Given the immense popularity of all things Spider-Man right now, maybe these fans are right.

"I would do anything for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 with Andrew Garfield," writes one Marvel fan account. The simple post has racked up nearly 73,000 likes as of this posting with almost 9,000 retweets. And that's just one of many, many tweets essentially begging Marvel and Sony to make this sequel finally happen.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is about to become the next Snyder Cut. Sooo many of us want to see this happen," journalist Matt Ramos also tweeted, this one with 39,000 likes and almost 4,000 retweets. If we thought DC and Warner Bros. had it bad with all of the begging for the Snyder Cut (which ultimately worked, lest we forget), let's see how the other side feels with calls to make The Amazing Spider-Man 3 becoming the new social media campaign.

"Feel like this week is the dawn of the Andrew Garfield Renaissance perhaps," another tweet reads. "Seen more people asking for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 than I ever have before. Maybe it’s the new ‘Release the Snyder Cut’? Either way I’m here for it. He was having a blast."

Some fans are even volunteering their own pitches on how to make this work. One person suggests, "Sony should greenlight The Amazing Spider-Man 3 with an 8-year timejump. Andrew's Peter Parker has moved on and has a relationship with Shailene Woodley's MJ. But thanks to multiverse madness, Emma Stone's Gwen Stacey returns from another universe as Spider-Gwen and drama ensues."

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now playing in movie theaters. Time will tell if The Amazing Spider-Man 3 ever makes it to the big screen someday as well.
