More production details have flooded in from the set of The Avengers. This week, director Joss Whedon's epic Marvel ensemble adventure began filming at NASA Plum Brook Station, taking cameras inside the facility's giant vacuum chamber.

Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Nick Fury in the film, was the only main cast member present for these particular scenes. No story details were given, and it is not known at what capacity the vacuum tube is being used.

NASA employees have been under strict security, and anyone working within or near the Plum Brook station has been ordered to stay far away from the press. Those who have been on the set say it is being treated as though it were national security.

The Avengers is expected to shoot at Plum Brook throughout the rest of the week.
