The Avengers will take advantage of New Mexico's 25% rebate program aimed at bringing in major film and TV productions. Gov. Bill Richardson estimates that the incentive has helped bring in over $4 billion and 10,000 direct and indirect film-related jobs since 2002.

Albuquerque Studios will host The Avengers shoot for most of 2011, before commencing in New York and Michigan.

Production on The Avengers will begin in April in New Mexico.
