The Batman is rumored to have two major villains, with Penguin and Catwoman both reportedly appearing in the movie to square off against a new Bruce Wayne. We've heard Josh Gad's name thrown around quite a bit as old Oswald Cobblepot. Now the murmurs are starting to whisper that Vanessa Hudgens could be in the running for Catwoman. What would that look like? Well, we have some fan art that lets us get a look at what we could all be in store for when The Batman finally makes it to theaters.

The art comes from Melbourne based digital artist Mizuri, who offers a green eyed look at Vanessa Hudgens, ready for a good old fashioned cat fight. About the art, Mizuri says this.

"Who should be the main villain for the Matt Reeves Batman movie ? @vanessahudgens as Catwoman! Hi everyone! Not 100% sure, but there has been a rumor going around that Vanessa Hudgens may be playing Catwoman in the upcoming 2021 Batman Solo Film by Matt Reeves! I get excited over almost anything Batman related, so I decided to bring this rumor to life in this edit! Enjoy."

No official casting for The Batman has been announced yet. Robert Pattinson was all but a lock to play Bruce Wayne, with final negotiations reportedly taking place at Warner Bros. for DC Films. But the casting process has been an arduous one, and Pattinson hasn't officially signed on at this time. Nicholas Hoult has also been called a front runner for the role. The actor is perhaps best known as Beast in the later X-Men films for 20th Century Fox.

Thus far, Josh Gad has been the only actor rumored to play The Penguin, though no one at DC or Warner Bros. has officially confirmed his involvement. The actor himself has oftened teased fans with the possibility of him joining the DCEU, but nothing has come of that just yet. Would Gad and Hudgens make for a perfect Catwoman and Penguin team?

The last time the pair was seen in a big screen movie was 1992's Batman Returns with Michelle Pfeiffer and Danny DeVito taking on the roles, and it so far appears that Matt Reeves, who took over directorial duties from Ben Affleck, who has completely bailed on the project altogether, could be repeating some of that old Tim Burton magic with this new iteration.

Vanessa Hudgens first made waves starring as Gabriella Montez in Disney's smash hit franchise High School Musical, appearing in all three movies. She also starred in Zack Snyder's much maligned action thriller Sucker Punch proving she had a big screen presence. She further surprised everyone by taking on Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers, which showed her in a much different light and proved she can handle some very dark material.

Hudgens has already become part of the DC universe with her role in the TV comedy Powerless, which followed the staff of an insurance company, specializing in products to protect defenseless bystanders from the collateral damage of Superheroes and Supervillains set within the DCEU. She was last seen in Rent: Live and will return with a prominent role in the long awaited sequel Bad Boys for Life opposite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. You can check out Vanessa Hudgens as Catwoman direct from Mizuri's Instagram.
