Having already been hit by numerous delays, and with its March release still not being entirely set in stone, Warner Bros. has not let up in its promotion for the arrival of Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader in The Batman. Director Matt Reeves has shared a lot of information about the movie, including behind-the-scenes images, production stills and more, but a tie-in Oreo site has provided fans with a first full look inside the new Batcave.

Oreo’s The Batman campaign taps into The Riddler’s involvement in the movie and pits fans against a series of fiendish riddles that, if solved, allow them to step into the world of Bruce Wayne and his crime-fighting alter-ego and see what the new Batcave looks like from ground level. In addition to the new images, Oreo is also releasing a special edition cookie that replaces the usual Oreo décor for a Batman silhouette, which becomes the first character embossment to be released by the European arm of the brand.

As if that wasn’t enough, Oreo has also created their promotional video out of Oreo, depicting some iconic imagery some shots of which can be seen below, or watch the whole advertisement here.

With The Batman having been delayed so many times, the arrival of such ad campaigns and tie-ins have been a long time coming for their creators, and finally having the ability to release them must come as a huge relief after keeping them hidden for so long.

“Batman is a true icon we all know. It has always been a very dark character. Through riddles, we found a way to link Batman with the playful DNA of Oreo—staying true and authentic to both fantastic brands,” Christian Anhut, executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi Düsseldorf, said in an official statement.

The Batcave Plays An Important Part In Any Batman Movie, And The Batman Is No Exception

Latest The Batman Set Photos Reveal Massive Batcave Entrance?

Every iteration of Batman has his own version of the Batcave, just like the Batmobile is redesigned with each new actor who takes over the part. The Batman once again sees the lair of Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego being kitted out with new technology and a new layout, and while the trailers have so far featured some short scenes of Robert Pattinson and Andy Serkis’ Alfred in situ, but the new images give an “empty” look at the epic new base of The Batman’s crime-fighting.

In LEGO tie-in merchandise recently revealed, it has been suggested that in the film The Riddler will gain access to the Batcave, and while that can only spell trouble for Bruce Wayne, it could also hint that the current Batcave will not survive in this form for future movies in the franchise. If The Riddler does manage to destroy the Batcave, it would certainly not be the first time Bruce Wayne has seen his sacred base go up in flames, and in many cases, it kick starts a personal story arc with the character that would certainly seem like something Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson would be happy to explore within the world of The Batman.
