Fans can't get enough of The Batman. After initially premiering at the start of the month with the second-highest opening of the pandemic era, The Batman is still riding high with its third win in a row at the domestic box office. The film has pulled in around $36.8 million to push its total domestic haul past the $300 million mark. Altogether, the hit superhero film from director Matt Reeves is quickly approaching the $600 million mark with its worldwide ticket sales.

One caveat was that The Batman had a less than stellar opening in China, due in part ot he closure of nearly half of China's theaters due to COVID-19. The film was down about 45% in North America as well as overseas. It is speculated that The Batman will be dropping down to the No. 2 spot with the release of The Lost City this weekend, Paramount's anticipated adventure flick starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

The film that came up in the No. 2 spot was FUNimation's new anime Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie. It performed higher than expected thanks in part to a perfect 100% fresh score at Rotten Tomatoes. Directed by Sunghoo Park and serving as a prequel to Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen series, the film debuted with a $17.7 million opening.

The video game adaptation Uncharted is still coasting in the No. 3 spot with its fifth weekend in theaters. It drew another $8 million to add to its domestic total of $125.9 million. Debuting with a $4.4 million opening to land at No. 4 is Ti West's acclaimed slasher movie X, another film that has wowed the critics following its SXSW premiere. Channing Tatum's canine buddy movie Dog drops to No. 5 as a result with its haul of $4 million, putting it at $54.2 million total domestically.

It has taken some time, but Spider-Man: No Way Home has fallen out of the top 5. It had been consistently making big bucks since its debut in theaters back in December, coasting ever since to remain a dominant force in theaters. It has to end sometime, especially with the film gearing up for its home video release. It is now available digitally and will head to Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on April 12. There's nothing like seeing such an epic film on the big screen, so we would expect for No Way Home to still coast its way in theaters for a bit longer regardless.
