Those who saw Monsters University were treated to the Pixar short film The Blue Umbrella in theaters. The animated short will also be included on the animated sequel's Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD release on October 29. Today, we have a clip featuring the opening scene of director Saschka Unseld's film, which shows several inanimate objects that are actually alive, including The Blue Umbrella, along with three more posters.

It is just another evening commute until the rain starts to fall, and the city comes alive to the sound of dripping rain pipes, whistling awnings and gurgling gutters. And in the midst, two umbrellas-one blue, one not-fall eternally in love.
