Dawn of the Seven will be released in theaters on June 3, at least for the fictional characters in The Boys on Prime Video. That day, the anticipated third season of the superhero satire series will debut, and Amazon has been going all out with the promotion for the upcoming season. This includes launching an all-new official website for Dawn of the Seven, and with it comes some canon "reviews" of the fictional film as well as character posters for the leads.

As The Boys regularly spoofs superhero fiction, Dawn of the Seven, which comes from Vought Studios (the show's take on Marvel Studios), satirizes Justice League, The Avengers, and other popular superhero movies featuring elite heroes grouped together. There are also blurbs from phony reviews on the website to further hype the Dawn of the Seven film.

"There’s only one name we can think of when it comes to the Vought Actors Guild Award for Best Actress…Queen Maeve," says The Vollywood Reporter, giving the film a 5-star rating.

"There's darkness in this Dawn, but The Seven takes the audience and carries them into the (Star)light," adds Hailey Miller, Voices on Voughtify.

You can read the official synopsis for the "film" and see the character posters below straight from the official website.

"When darkness descends on the world, and it seems all hope is lost, seven heroes will rise. Seven who will stand. Seven who will fight. Seven who will restore light and hope, and see the sun rise on a new era. This is the true story of the greatest superhero team the world has ever known. This is the Dawn of The Seven."

The Boys Also Released a Trailer for Dawn of the Seven

Amazon also released a new movie trailer for Dawn of the Seven to help promote the premiere date for season 3. A fictional in-universe film featuring Homelander and the other members of the Seven playing themselves, the trailer is reminiscent of Zack Snyder's Justice League. The trailer refers to the release of Dawn of the Seven as "The Bourke Cut," an obvious reference to the four-hour version of Justice League that had originally been dubbed "The Snyder Cut."

The trailer features Homelander (Antony Starr), Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell). The voice of Seth Rogen is also featured as Translucent, as the difference in actors is likely a canon reference to the original Translucent (Alex Hassell) getting killed before the fictional movie was filmed. Notably missing is the seventh member, as The Deep (Chace Crawford) and Stormfront (Aya Cash) fell from grace due to controversy after they'd been established in that spot.

The Seven may be meeting their match with some famous superheroes from the past in the third season of The Boys. It has been established that season 3 will bring back Payback, a group of Supes who were Vought's elite team in the years before the Seven had been assembled with Homelander leading the way. Payback is led by Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), who was the world's most beloved superhero in previous decades but has since gone into hiding. Having someone else coming back into the spotlight won't be good for Homelander, whose mind has already been starting to unravel.

The Boys will premiere its third season on June 3, 2022, on Prime Video. The first two seasons are currently streaming.
