The Boys will be getting Diabolical in March. Ahead of the premiere of The Boys: Diabolical, an animated series that serves as a spinoff of the superhero satire The Boys, Prime Video has released a first look teaser for the show. Along with its official premiere date set for March 4, the video unveils the animation style that looks a bit like classic cartoons. However, the bloody violence that the live-action series is known for is also on full display. You can watch the new teaser below.

“There is no question that you guys are the greatest fans in the world,” series star Karl Urban stated when Diabolical was first announced last year. “As a special way of saying thank you to you, we’ve got a little surprise for you which is going to drop early next year… [Producers Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg] have asked a few of their celebrity mates to cook up eight deliciously unique, twisted, animated episodes set in the world of The Boys."

It's not entirely clear which characters will appear in The Boys: Diabolical and what the overall plot will be, though we can presume it involved a baby Supe on the move as if it's a more destructive version of Baby's Day Out. The writing team for Diabolical will include Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot and Ilana Glazer, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland, Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, Aisha Tyler, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen.

Fans looking forward to season 3 of the live-action series also have a date to mark on the calendar. It was recently revealed that the third season is set to debut on June 3 on Prime Video. Of course, the series will bring back the main cast, which includes the returns of Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, and Nathan Mitchell.

Season 3 will also introduce the members of a superhero team called Payback, the group that served as Vought's premiere superhero league in the years before the Seven. This group is led by Soldier Boy, a Captain America-style character played by Supernatural's Jensen Ackles. Because he was the "John Wayne of superheroes" at one point in this fictional world, Soldier Boy rivals Homelander in many ways, coming to serve as perhaps the biggest threat yet to his fellow patriotic Supe.

"Season 3 delves a lot more into the history of how we got here through this character of Soldier Boy," showrunner Kripke previously told Vanity Fair. "We were able to dig into both the history of the country and also really look at toxic masculinity, and masculine roles, and what a shit-show that's overall caused. This whole f**king, independent Marlboro man thing."

The Boys: Diabolical will be making its premiere on Prime Video on March 4, 2022. Jensen Ackles will later be seen making his debut in the live-actions series when The Boys returns with new episodes on June 3, 2022 on Prime Video.
