Of all the superhero shows and movies currently out there, The Boys is the one that will always poke fun at itself and its peers on social media in a merciless fashion that keeps in line with the tone of the series itself. Following Jensen Ackles’ Instagram post last week showing him a year ago with a big bushy beard, The Boys official Twitter account has created a full-blown fake synopsis for what the third season of the dark, satirical fantasy show has to offer.

While there is very little known about the actual plot of The Boys’ third season, it is safe to assume it will be nothing like the one that they shared that involves lumberjacks, farming and beard care storylines. The post began by including Ackles’ shared photo of him sporting a huge bushy beard, and read:

“S3 is actually the story of how everyone moves deep into the woods to become lumberjacks. Soldier Boy and Butcher exchange beard care tips. Homelander sets up a Vought Fresh Farms to provide dairy. Frenchie miraculously establishes a WiFi connection.”

As if this wasn’t enough, the posts continued to flesh out stories for each of the major characters from the series and how they would fit into this bizarre world of The Boys meets The Waltons. You can check out the rest of the story below.

The Boys has made itself a home at Amazon Prime Video, with one spin-off already landing on the streaming platform and others either in production or being developed. With a fourth season of the main show having already been teased by star Karl Urban, it seems that there is already an expectation that the new episodes are going to bring the same kind of success as the previous ones. That is no surprise, with more outrageous antics being promised by showrunner Eric Kripke. He previously said:

"Without giving away any spoilers, I was just in editing yesterday, and we’re doing something here in the season 3 premiere that is not only I think the craziest thing we’ve ever done, it’s got to be up there with the craziest thing anyone’s ever done. Maybe it won’t work. Who knows? But I’m just so high on this gag that we’re pulling off. And it’s certainly something nobody has ever seen before, probably for good reason. So all that’s really exciting."

The trailer for The Boys third season gave some teasing looks at returning characters and new additions such as Crimson Countess and Supersonic. Having already pushed the boundaries of television, the new season is already expected to take things to the next level of violence. Antony Starr, who plays Homelander in the show, previously commented that he is “always curious to see what the writers, what these crazy people, are going to cook up, and it’s a pretty great feeling in Season 3 to still be surprised and excited every time you turn a page in the material. All I can say is I truly believe the fans are going to freak out at Season 3."

There is just over a month to wait for the new season to premiere on Prime Video on June 3.
