Amazon's The Boys is getting ready to take over Comic-Con@Home with an exclusive look at season 2 of the comic book series. The show made a big splash when it debuted last year, offering a violent and different look at the world of superheroes. Now, the cast and crew have gathered for this year's virtual edition of San Diego Comic-Con to offer a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming sophomore season of the show.

Executive producer Eric Kripke is set for the panel. He will be joined by series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Aya Cash. Aisha Tyler is on board to moderate the panel, which is set to kick off at 3 p.m. PT. Executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will also make a special appearance. The series is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and offers a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good.

In The Boys season 2, the gang finds themselves on the run from the law with the Supes hunting them down. They are attempting to regroup and fight back against Vought, with Hughie, Mother's Milk, Frenchie and Kimiko in hiding as they try and adjust to their new normal. Meanwhile, Billy Butcher is nowhere to be found. At the same time, Starlight is trying to find her place within The Seven as Homelander sets his sights on assuming control of the Supes. His power is threatened when Stormfront (Aya Cash) enters the picture, a new social media-savvy hero who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage, with Vought looking to capitalize on the country's paranoia.

San Diego Comic-Con, like many major events, was forced to cancel in light of current events. It is usually one of the biggest pop culture moments of the year. While it certainly won't be the same for those why typically attend, the organizers have tried to make the best of it. Dozens of panels will be dropping online throughout the weekend, covering upcoming movies, TV shows and more. The good news is that anyone will be able to watch them this time around, as opposed to having to try and get a badge, which can be tricky as SDCC is incredibly popular and sells out every year.

There is no word yet on if season 3 is happening heading into the panel, but it certainly seems like a strong possibility at this point. The Boys season 2 is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 4 with three new episodes. The finale is set to drop on October 9, with new episodes arriving each Friday in between. Check out the panel for yourself and make sure to keep up with all of our coverage throughout the weekend of Comic-Con@Home.
