Spoiler Warning: The Boys Season 1-2

The second season of Prime Video’s The Boys was a nail-biting experience. And even though it looked like the bad supes were about to take over, we saw the second season conclude with the good supes coming through. However, the fight is far from over. There were a lot of loose ends in the final episode that we need answers to in the upcoming season.

One of the jaw-dropping moments in the second season was the revelation that Congresswoman Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) turned out to be a super-powered individual responsible for killing Susan Raynor (Jennifer Esposito) and attacking the Congressional hearing on Vought International's actions. Furthermore, we also see Hughie (Jack Quaid) deciding that he wants to join Neuman’s campaign trail. Also, in the finale, Butcher (Karl Urban) chooses to raise Ryan (Cameron Crovetti), and Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) is back with his family. The new season also introduces Soldier Boy, who most likely will take Stormfront’s place in The Seven. Is he going to be a good supe, or is he going to cause a whole lot of problems?

With so much to look forward to, here are questions we can't wait to get answered in The Boys season 3.

What Is Congresswoman Victoria Neuman’s Plan?

Throughout the second season, we assumed Victoria Neumann was a regular human who was against The Seven and Vought. She also worked alongside The Boys for a bit to take them down. Neuman was against the Vought weaponizing Compound V and was even a part of hearings that would have indicted them. But, things took an unexpected turn when we saw in the last episode that Neuman was, in fact, a supe herself and the one responsible for the exploding heads.

Now that we know that she’s a supe, we are curious to know her endgame. It’s unclear at this point what her goals are and, most importantly, where her allegiances lie. We know for sure that Claudia Doumit, who plays the role of Victoria Neuman, will be seen a lot in the upcoming season since she was promoted to series regular, as reported by Deadline back in October 2020.

What Is ‘Wrong’ With Homelander?

Is Homelander Invincible, or Can The Boys Kill Him Off?

Homelander (Antony Starr) is an evil, narcissistic supe, but even we have to admit that he suffered a lot towards the end of the second season. Homelander has lost his biological son, his girlfriend, his influence at Vought, and the public’s high opinion of him through the season. Queen Maeve has also blackmailed him into submission with video proof of him being responsible for everyone’s death in the plane incident in season 1. This forces Homelander to be nice to all the other supes, and he makes it very clear that he has no interest in doing so and hates every second of it.

We don’t know what Homelander will do and how he will be to the fellow supes, but the promo video for The Boys season 3 revealed that he has been hiding ever since the end of season 2. The trailer for season 3 also revealed that Homelander has been nothing like himself. In fact, he seems more dangerous than ever. We see Starlight (Erin Moriarty) in the trailer even stating on a phone call, “There is something wrong with Homelander. There’s something broken.” It’s clear that Homelander will be unpredictable this upcoming season, but to what extent is what we are keen to know.

Will We See Stormfront in Season 3?

The Boys Season 2 First Look at Gender-Swapped Stormfront in Amazon Prime Series

Stormfront (Aya Cash) was meant to cause a storm right from her arrival in the second season. In fact, she was set up to be the evilest supe of the season, even more than Homelander. She worked along with Vought to test Compound V on adults in the hope of creating a super-powered army. She intended to use this army to fulfill her Nazi goals of attacking and killing people of color. But, all these plans went down the train when Ryan tried stopping her from murdering his mother and burning her to a crisp.

In the last episode of the second season, we see Stormfront lying on the ground, with her limbs gone, and muttering something in German repeatedly. It did seem like that was the end of her role in the show. However, Eric Kripke, the showrunner of The Boys, confirmed that Stormfront is not dead. But we’re still unsure whether she will be back in the third season. Even if she does come back, we feel that she won’t be as powerful as she was in the previous season now that she’s in such a bad condition and the public hates her. We’d love to know what’s next in store for her.

The Boys season 3 is set to return to Prime Video on June 3, 2022.
