What if The Boys was a family-friendly sitcom and not the blood-soaked, curse-filled violent romp that it's known for? We can only imagine, and Prime Video is getting in on the idea by sharing a fun video on social media. The video reimagines a new intro for The Boys, presented as a sitcom that would have fit right in with the likes of classic sitcoms from decades ago. It's The Boys as you've never seen it before, and you can check out the clip below.

The video conveniently leaves out the show's more violent moments, compiling footage of the show's main characters from their more fun moments. The cast for this sitcom intro includes several fan favorites: Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Antony Starr as Homelander, and Erin Moriarty as Starlight. Also featured as supporting characters in the faux sitcom are Chace Crawford as The Deep, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, and Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir.

Of course, there are some favorites missing as well. Some fans may be wondering about Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy, who quickly became a standout character after joining the show in season 3. The cast of season 4 will be even better as it's been confirmed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be coming into the series next season in an undisclosed role.

Of course, The Boys is about as far removed as one can get from classic sitcoms. In every season of the series, the show's creators go all out with seeing how far they can push the envelope, with season 3's "Herogasm" immediately standing out as one of the wildest moments. Series star Erin Moriarty has teased that fans ain't ready for what's coming in season 4. VFX supervisor Stephen Fleet has also teased that fans will see things they might wish they hadn't in the new episodes.

“My eyes can’t unsee what I just saw right now," he wrote after working on some footage.

The first three seasons of The Boys are streaming on Prime Video along with the animated spinoff The Boys Presents: Diabolical. Season 4 is in production but doesn't yet have a premiere date, while the live-action spinoff series, Gen V, is also coming to Prime Video in 2023.
