The Boys poke fun at The Batman in a series of new posters for the upcoming third season of the hit Amazon superhero show. Each member of The Boys gets their own poster in the set, with The Female giving Robert Pattinson’s The Dark Knight the finger while the others take aim at a variety of other big-screen Batman adventures.

After flipping the bird at The Batman (no doubt many would love to see Robert Pattinson’s brutal take on the DC icon take on The Boys) and making a reference to a violent, crowd-pleasing moment in 2008’s The Dark Knight, the posters then move on to Batman projects of yesteryear, including “Butcher Begins” and “Frenchie: The Animated Frenchman.”

Finally, the posters, which have been unveiled by The Boys official Twitter account, harken back to Batman outings from the even more distant past, with Hughie looking typically confused and sad in “Hughie Forever,” while Mother’s Milk’s initials get given the golden logo treatment in a tribute to director Tim Burton and star Michael Keaton’s iteration of The Caped Crusader.

Coming courtesy of Amazon Prime, The Boys is based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The series is set in a universe where super-powered individuals are recognized as heroes by the general public and owned by the powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. The series primarily focuses on two groups: The Seven, Vought International's premier superhero team, and the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control.

Starring an ensemble cast that includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, and Karen Fukuhara as the titular vigilantes, and Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher and Nathan Mitchell as members of the "Seven," The Boys has been met with critical acclaim for its unorthodox, satirical approach to the superhero genre.
