Riding The Bullet: According to Variety, Brad Krevoy's Motion Picture Corporation of America has finalized a cast for Riding the Bullet, an adaptation of the Stephen King e-book of the same name that attracted 500,000 readers.

Jonathan Jackson, David Arquette, Barbara Hershey and Erika Christensen have been set to star under the helm of writer-director Mick Garris, who previously directed King telepics The Stand in 1994 and The Shining in 1997.

The supernatural thriller takes place on Halloween in 1969, following 21-year-old New England college student Alan Parker (Jackson). Distraught that his girlfriend (Christensen) has broken up with him, he attempts suicide but fails and then learns that his beloved mother (Hershey) has had a stroke. Hitchhiking through rural Maine to visit her bedside, the young man is picked up by a mysterious driver (Arquette) who carries his own haunting secrets.

Production starts this month in Vancouver.
