In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, NBC recently picked up The Celebrity Apprentice to air until spring 2010.
They had thought about going back to having "normal" people vie for a job with Donald Trump, but NBC opted to keep it celebrity driven as that completely revamped viewer interest in the franchise.
"The Celebrity Apprentice is the ultimate business and reality show at the top of its game and has exploded in popularity this season while also raising an impressive amount of money for charity," stated Paul Telegdy, executive vice president of alternative programming for NBC and Universal Media Studios.
This will be the ninth season of The Celebrity Apprentice. Returning are star/exec producer Donald Trump and creator/exec producer Mark Burnett.
