First off for today, Fox Home Entertainment has just announced a December 21st release date for the funny as all freakin’ hell/ Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, Aaron Ruell and Jon Gries starrer Napoleon Dynamite. The disc will carry widescreen and full screen versions of the film and feature audio commentary by Director/Co-Writer Jared Hess, Producer Jeremy Coon and actor Jon Heder, five deleted scenes with commentary by that director, Producer and actor, The Making of the Wedding of the Century featurette, a still gallery, A trailer for Arrested Development and Dynamite’s MTV On-Air promos. It’ll be setting you back something like $29.99.

Fox has also set a December 28th street date for the surprisingly entertaining (look, I am just not a big Scrubs fan) Zach Braff, Natalie Portman, Peter Sarsgaard and Ian Holm comedy Garden State. The film will be presented in anamorphic widescreen and English Dolby Digital 5.1.

Its features will reportedly include:

Continuing today’s unusual slate of really good news is BBC America’s announcement that the British hit (not the American failure) Coupling: the Complete Fourth Season will be available to own on January 25th. Its extras will reportedly include a selection of outtakes and a From Script to Screen featurette. This two-disc set is set to run you somewhere in the region of $24.99.

Meanwhile, Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment has announced a November 23rd street date for the Sun Zhou directed Gong Li and Tony Leung starring Zhou Yu's Train. The film will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, Chinese 5.1 audio and optional English, French, Portuguese and Spanish subtitles. It will apparently be retailing for $29.99.

And last, but certainly not least . . . Columbia has also just announced the impending November 30th release of their new Ray Harryhausen Giftset. This new five-pack set will include: 20 Million Miles to Earth, First Men in the Moon, Mysterious Island, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers and It Came From Beneath the Sea. Each of the discs will feature digitally mastered anamorphic widescreen transfers and soundtracks along with featurettes and trailers. The set will retail for a pretty reasonable $57.99. I can’t wait.
