Revisit Christian Bale's run as Batman on Netflix before the introduction of Robert Pattinson as the newest Bruce Wayne. The Batman is finally almost here with the long-awaited film's premiere just one month away. There has long been a lot of excitement with DC fans for the film and that's only going to increase as we draw closer to The Batman's premiere in theaters. One way to pass the time would be to go back and check out some of the most acclaimed films from Batman's past. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy is highly acclaimed with The Dark Knight in particular standing tall as one of the most revered superhero movies of all time. It began with Batman Begins, which delves into the origin story of the caped crusader. Now, both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight have begun streaming on Netflix. The streamer is likely timing the availability of these films on the service to the upcoming release of The Batman with so many fans currently talking about that film. Christian Bale is still one of the most popular Batman actors ever so there will certainly be many Netflix subscribers revisiting the films.
Of course, this means that the final chapter of the three-part story will need to be watched elsewhere, as The Dark Knight Rises is not available on Netflix. The most popular installment of the three films is definitely The Dark Knight, but there might still be some disappointment in some fans looking to binge all three films in a row.
Robert Pattinson Appreciates Every Previous Batman Movie
The Batman star Robert Pattinson has enjoyed every other Batman film to come before his own. He recently told Total Film how he always looked forward to every movie's release as such a big fan of the character. In his opinion, while some of the films may be drastically different from one another, they all accomplished what they'd set out to achieve. This would obviously include the Dark Knight Trilogy as well as the less popular films like Batman & Robin.
"Out of all the comic-book characters and that kind of movie, I've seen every single one of the [Batman] movies in the cinema, which I can't really say I've done for any other series," Pattinson said. "I was always really looking forward to them coming out. There was the combination of just being so attracted to it, but also feeling like it'd had a lot of movies made about it, and none of them are bad movies. People kind of s**t on some of them, but they're not actually bad."
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are now streaming on Netflix. To complete the Nolan trilogy, you can also find The Dark Knight Rises streaming on HBO Max. You can watch The Batman when it premieres in theaters on March 4, 2022.
