Director Christopher Nolan has completed work on The Dark Knight Rises, and screened a rough cut for top Warner Bros. executives today, Friday, March 16th.

This is the first official cut of the film, with plenty of time left before its July 20th release date for the director to tweak and fix anything that needs to be adjusted. Those in attendance for this exclusive screening included Warner Bros. film chief Jeffrey Robinov and production president Greg Silverman. There has been no word yet about what the top WB brass thought of the film.

The Dark Knight Rises is set to open one week after Comic-Con, and there is much speculation that Christopher Nolan may use this opportunity to make his first-ever appearance at the San Diego Convention Center, and the film may even premiere at the event.

The previous two films both opened the week before Comic-Con.
