Dawn of The Dead: According to the guys over at Creature-Corner, Universal had announced that the remake for one of the greatest zombie flicks of all time was getting slapped with a PG-13 rating, and the gore of the film would be saved for an unrated DVD...

Yep, Universal announced today the remake of 'Dawn of the Dead' will be released PG-13, the company hoping to rake in those highly important pre-17 dollars and sacrificing God knows how much precious, precious gore. Sure a movie isn't judged being good based on it's gore alone, but when it's written by the man that did 'Scooby Doo' (sorry, won't let it go), it had damn well better have a lot of red stuff, cause it won't have much else. Supposedly the gore is being "saved" for an unrated DVD release. We'll see.

Well, after this scoop apparently run at the site they were contacted by many inside sources claiming that Universal was doing everything they could to keep their 'R' ratings of the film:

Universal is actually risking a lot by making sure this movie is "R". Perhaps there is hope yet...**
