A Brooklyn bartender gets caught up in a robbery investigation that threatens to expose his neighborhood's secrets in a new international trailer for The Drop, following the domestic trailer released in April.

The plot, which author Dennis Lehane adapted from his own short story Animal Rescue, follows Brooklyn bartender Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy), who works for Cousin Marv, played by James Gandolfini in his final performance. Aside from slinging drinks, Bob also leaves money drops for local gangsters, although when his bar is robbed, the investigation threatens to expose the neighborhood's hidden secrets. In addition, we also have a new poster and photos for director Michael R. Roskam's crime thriller, co-starring Noomi Rapace, James Frecheville and Matthias Schoenaerts, arriving in theaters September 19.

The Drop is a new crime drama from Michael R. Roskam, the Academy Award-nominated director of Bullhead. Based on a screenplay from Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone), The Drop follows lonely bartender Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) through a covert scheme of funneling cash to local gangsters - "money drops" - in the underworld of Brooklyn bars. Under the heavy hand of his employer and cousin Marv (James Gandolfini), Bob finds himself at the center of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighborhood's past where friends, families, and foes all work together to make a living - no matter the cost.
