Christmas came early to those in attendance at CCXP in Brazil today. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige took to the stage and unveiled the very first footage from the The Eternals movie. The project is one of the most anticipated in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming Phase 4 and it will reportedly change the course for the future. Feige seems pretty happy about the movie, which just started production a few months ago. We've seen some leaked images from the set, but this is the first official footage that has been shown. It is unclear if it will end up online, but it more than likely will not.

One MCU fan in attendance at CCXP says Eternals looks "Amazing!" and "Epic!" This sounds about right for an MCU project. The costumes apparently "look great" and the footage features the group as they gather in a cabin in the woods. "These people and this planet have changed all of us. We must protect them," is some dialogue from Salma Hayek's Ajax character heard in the footage. The scene also "showed a lot of diversity, different parts of the world. Different cultures. Gathering around a ceremonial fire. Jolie looks imperial!"

There was a shot of the cast in their costumes and then Angelina Jolie's Thena, Salma Hayek's Ajax on horseback, Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo dancing, and Thena fighting. While it's going to be different in terms of tone for the MCU, it sounds like it's right in line with the rest of the franchise in terms of action and amazing special effects. Hopefully we'll have a trailer ready when Black Widow hits theaters next year.

Apparently the Eternals footage was raw and according to one source, it looks unlike any MCU movie released so far. Jack Kirby fans are apparently going to "freak out" when they get to see the footage. The movie has been a pretty big mystery, even with the leaked set photos and the concept art poster. Marvel fans don't know what to expect at this point, and that's pretty exciting as the rest of the world waits to see what Kevin Feige and crew have cooked up for the future.

Kevin Feige says Eternals is going to redefine and change the MCU in Phase 4, which is what fans have been waiting to hear. The Infinity Saga is over and it's time to break some new ground with some new characters. Iron Man and Captain America are gone, so it's time for the Eternals, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man to step it up and bring in new stories for the future. Marvel Studios is also gambling a bit with all of this new material, so it will be interesting to see how everything is accepted globally when it launches. From the sound of things, Eternals is going to be pretty awesome as it's already generating excitement. The footage description comes to us from the MCU Cosmic Twitter account.
