There has been no shortage of casting stories for The Expendables 2 recently, with actors such as Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Taylor Lautner and Donnie Yen circling various roles. Today we have news that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have been confirmed for the sequel.

Both actors appeared in cameo roles in The Expendables last year, although they are believed to have "substantial" roles in the sequel. Last year, star Sylvester Stallone revealed on his Twitter account that he wanted Bruce Willis to portray the main villain in The Expendables 2.

Simon West is directing The Expendables 2 from a script by Sylvester Stallone, who wrote and directed The Expendables. Production is scheduled to start in October. Bruce Willis will squeeze the project in between G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, which is currently shooting, and Die Hard 5, which begins production early next year.
