After months of casting rumors regarding 20th Century Fox's The Fantastic Four, the studio is finally set to begin testing for the coveted roles of Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and Sue Storm (The Invisible Girl) later this month. The testing comes just as writer Simon Kinberg completes his rewrite on the script. Miles Teller, Kit Harington and Richard Madden are reading for Reed Richards, while Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan are expected to test for Sue Storm.

Michael B. Jordan has long been rumored to play Johnny Storm, with Variety claiming he is attached to the role. 20th Century Fox has never confirmed this casting, though he will reportedly be reading with the other actors testing for Mr. Fantastic and The Invisible Girl.

Miles Teller confirmed he was in early talks to play Mr. Fantastic way back in October, and Kit Harington was also mentioned as a Reed Richards candidate in a previous report. This is the first we're hearing of Richard Madden being in contention.

Miles Teller was asked about whether or not he will play Reed Richards at the Sundance Film Festival this week, and this is what he had to say.

"Yeah, that should be coming up in the next few weeks."

Variety speculates that the actor meant a final decision should be coming in a few weeks as testing continues. The actor is not signed for the role at this time.

Kate Mara and Saoirse Ronan were listed as contenders for the Sue Storm role in our report from October. There still has been no mention of who may portray Ben Grimm (The Thing) in this superhero reboot. Will he be completely CGI?

Josh Trank is directing, with writer Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Gregory Goodman producing. We reported in November that shooting is scheduled to begin this March in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
