Mark Wahlberg accepted the Guy Movie of the Year award for The Fighter at the Guys Choice Awards, which will air on Friday, June 10 at 9 PM ET on Spike. The network released footage of Mark Wahlberg accepting the award, where he also discussed The Fighter 2 sequel. Here's what he had to say below about the project, which will involve Micky Ward's three fights with Arturo Gatti.

"We left out the Arturo Gatti fights for a reason, because that's for The Fighter 2. We're not going to do The Fighter 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, but we're going to do The Fighter 2. We're going to do the Ward/Gatti trilogy."

The actor's statement mirrored what he said back in March, when he revealed they only wanted to do one sequel to The Fighter. It seems that one sequel will cover all three fights, which happened between May 2002 and June 2003.
