A trio of upcoming films have altered their release date schedule, with Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg's upcoming fighting film settling into a prime holiday release date. eRc Box Office is reporting that The Fighter will bring the boxing drama to theaters on December 10. The film stars Mark Wahlberg as the title character with Christian Bale portraying his brother and trainer.

The site is also reporting that a pair of Paramount animated films have also altered their release schedule. Gore Verbinski's new film Rango has been pushed up from a March 18, 2011 release two weeks to March 4, 2011. The film will move away from the dramatic duo of The Dark Fields and Beastly, which was originally set for release on June 30 before it was recently announced that it was being pushed back.

Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom is also being pushed up a week, moving away from the June 3, 2011 frame that is occupied by X-Men: First Class, back one week to May 26, 2011, where it will go up against the adult comedy sequel The Hangover 2.
