In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, The Film Department has bought True Memoirs of an International Assassin. This is a spec screenplay written by Jeff Morris.

Michael De Luca, Alissa Phillips, Mark Gill and Robert Katz are going to produce this project.

True Memoirs of an International Assassin centers on an accountant that writes a novel about the life he wishes he had: being a fearless assassin. When he sells the book, the publisher calls it a memoir, and the world believes he is his alter ego. Then he goes on vacation to Belize, and suddenly finds himself coerced into killing the country's prime minister.

This action/comedy screenplay was on Franklin Leonard's popular Black List this past December.
