A new synopsis released by the McFarlane toy line provides further details on how Michael Keaton will be featured in the multiverse story. The Flash will also see Ben Affleck return as the Dark Knight. This movie is set to introduce the concept of the multiverse in DC, which means there are different versions of the same character existing in different universes. According to the new synopsis, when Barry Allen arrives in an alternate 2013, he seeks out the expertise of his friend and mentor, Bruce Wayne. The concept of the multiverse in the DC universe is not new, as it has been a recurring theme in DC Comics for years. It allows for different versions of the same character to exist in different universes simultaneously. This means that there can be different Batmen in different universes.
