The Flash is an adaptation of the popular "Flashpoint" comic book storyline, which sees Barry Allen, the titular hero known as The Flash, travelling back in time to prevent his mother's death. However, this decision has far-reaching consequences, causing ripples across the fabric of reality and leading to a divergent timeline where the DC Universe is vastly different from the one that fans have come to know and love.

One of the most exciting aspects of the upcoming movie is the appearance of two iconic Batman actors, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton. In the first full-length trailer for The Flash, fans caught a glimpse of Affleck's Batman riding the Batcycle. Recently leaked images of the Batcycle toy, which were shared on the r/DCEUleaks subreddit, have revealed a faithful recreation of the bike with its unique dual front-wheel design and side-mounted cannons.

Fans are also excited to see Michael Keaton's Batman return to the big screen, as he reprises the role he played in Batman and Batman Returns. Keaton's version of the Caped Crusader is vastly different from the one we're familiar with, representing a unique take on the character. Alongside Keaton's Batman, fans will also get to see an updated version of the Batmobile from his previous two Batman movies, albeit with only minor changes made to its design. The Batcycle has always been an iconic aspect of Batman's arsenal, and fans have been eagerly waiting to see how it will be portrayed in the upcoming movie.

A new synopsis released by the McFarlane toy line provides further details on how Michael Keaton will be featured in the multiverse story. The Flash will also see Ben Affleck return as the Dark Knight. This movie is set to introduce the concept of the multiverse in DC, which means there are different versions of the same character existing in different universes. According to the new synopsis, when Barry Allen arrives in an alternate 2013, he seeks out the expertise of his friend and mentor, Bruce Wayne. However, the Bruce Wayne he finds in the multiverse is different from the one he knows. Check it out below:

“When Barry Allen arrives in an alternate 2013, he urgently seeks out the expertise of his friend and mentor Bruce Wayne – but the one he finds in the Multiverse is different on all fronts: older, long-retired from service as Gotham City’s protector and somehow even more hardened than the billionaire superhero Barry has grown to know. With a global threat on the horizon, Bruce Wayne must decide whether he can become Batman once more.”

The concept of the multiverse in the DC universe is not new, as it has been a recurring theme in DC Comics for years. It allows for different versions of the same character to exist in different universes simultaneously. This means that there can be different Batmen in different universes. The Flash movie will explore this concept and bring it to the big screen. The movie will also feature some of the most iconic characters in the DC universe, including Supergirl (Sasha Calle), General Zod (Michael Shannon) and Wonder Woman.

The Flash has faced many delays and changes in production, but is finally set to be released on June 16, 2023.
