Having last collaborated on The Social Network, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will reteam in creating a score for David Fincher's upcoming adaptation of Stieg Larsson's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Not much else is known about the musical landscape they plan to utilize in bringing The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo to life. Jacob Groth wrote and conducted music for Niels Arden Oplev's first adaptation of the popular mystery novel, but it isn't clear if Trent and Atticus will look to and use pieces of Oplev's haunting soundtrack, or if they will be compiling something completely new.

Fincher is currently finishing production on his first installment of The Millinium Trilogy, which will be out at year's end.
