The classic family adventure film The Goonies is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a new collector's edition DVD and Blu-ray set, which will be available on November 2nd. The seminal 1985 film was produced by Steven Spielberg (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial), written by Chris Columbus (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) and directed by Richard Donner (Superman).

The movie features a mix of excellent young actors and seasoned veterans, indcluding future Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (Milk), Sean Astin (The Lord Of The Rings: The Return of The King), Corey Feldman (Stand By Me), Jeff Cohen (Amazing Stories), Jonathan Ke Quan (Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom), Martha Plimpton (Parenthood), Kerri Green (Lucas), Lupe Ontiveros (As Good As It Gets), Robert Davi (Die Hard), Joe Pantoliano (The Matrix), John Matuszak (Caveman) and Oscar nominee Anne Ramsey (Throw Momma From The Train).

We recently had a chance to sit down with several members of the cast including Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Jonathan Ke Quan, Robert Davi, Joe Pantoliano and Lupe Ontiveros, as well as director Richard Donner and casting director Mike Fenton (Back to The Future), to discuss the film, its legacy and the new collector's edition Blu-ray and DVD:

Mikey (Sean Astin) and Brandon Walsh (Josh Brolin) are two brothers whose family is preparing to move due to a new development that is sure to be started unless enough money is raised, which is quite doubtful. But, when Mikey stumbles on a treasure map of the famed One-Eyed Willy's hidden fortune, he, his brother, and a few friends set out on a quest to find the riches in hopes to save their homes. The entrance to a cavern is found, but it is located underneath the house of the Fratelli family, a treacherous group of thieves who attempt to beat The Goonies to the treasure.
