MacGruber director Jorma Taccone has signed on to make the New Line Cinema comic book adaptation The Great Unknown.

The project is based on Duncan Rouleau's comic book series, which centers on a slacker who becomes convinced that all of his great ideas are somehow being pilfered from his mind. Even though he can't convince his friends and family that his thoughts are being stolen, he goes on a quest to find the idea theifs.

Duncan Rouleau also works at Man of Action Studios, which is behind animated TV series' such as Ben 10 and the new Disney XD show Ultimate Spider-Man.

Jorma Taccone will direct The Great Unknown from an adapted screenplay by Michael Starrbury, with Mark Gordon and Jennifer Todd producing. No production schedule was given.
