Open Road Films has provided us with a new photo from their upcoming adaptation The Host, which is currently in production and set for release March 29, 2013. This shot gives us a closer look at Saoirse Ronan's Melanie Stryder, one of the few humans left on Earth who hasn't been taken over by aliens dubbed Souls in this adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novel. When a legendary Soul named Wanderer attempts to inhabit Melanie, she refuses to let go of her identity, which causes the alien to identify with her plight.
