Last month, we announced that Open Road Films was hosting a Facebook contest where a few lucky winners will be featured in the first trailer for The Host, which is currently in production and set for release March 29, 2013. Today, Open Road Films announced the first trailer for The Host will be released Thursday, March 22, and will feature the six winners of this Facebook contest.

Saoirse Ronan stars as Melanie Stryder in The Host, which is adapted from Stephenie Meyer's novel. The story is set in a world which has been taken over by alien organisms who use human bodies as hosts. Max Irons, Jake Abel, William Hurt, and Diane Kruger also star in The Host.

Andrew Niccol is directing The Host, working from a screenplay he adapted from Stephenie Meyer's novel.
