With the primary cast already locked in for The Hunger Games, Lionsgate is securing smaller roles for the Suzanne Collins adaptation. Actors Amber Chaney, Kimiko Gelman, and Nelson Ascencio have all signed on to The Hunger Games as Avox Girl, Venia, and Flavius.

Avox Girl is a mute character who doesn't speak because her tongue was cut off for being a traitor. Venia and Flavious are both members of Katniss Everdeen's prep team, and residents of the Capitol who dress in flamboyant attire. Venia sports blue hair and golden facial tattoos, while Flavius has orange hair and is always seen wearing purple lipstick.

Gary Ross is directing The Hunger Games from an adapted screenplay from Billy Ray. It isn't known when production will begin, although a March 23, 2012 release date has already been set.
