Actress Elizabeth Banks has been confirmed to star as Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games. We first reported the actress' casting two weeks ago.

Lionsgate has also updated the official Facebook page for The Hunger Games with news that young actors Ethan Jamieson and Tara Macken (Step Brothers) have joined the cast as the unnamed "tributes" from District 4. Take a look at these two new tributes below.

The Hunger Games District 4 tributes

Gary Ross will direct The Hunger Games from a screenplay by Billy Ray, which is adapted from the novel by Suzanne Collins. The story centers on a nationally-televised competition where teenagers from the 12 districts of America fight to the death. Elizabeth Banks' character Effie Trinket is the chaperone for District 12 competitors Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Melark (Josh Hutcherson).
