In the Suzanne Collins novel, Lt. Jackson was a soldier from District 13's Squad 451, who was second in command to Boggs (Mahershala Ali). She was assigned as a sharpshooter alongside Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Finnick (Sam Claflin), Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and others, who was described in the book as a middle-aged woman who looked "sluggish. Her farsighted vision allowed her to shoot at objects that others couldn't see without a scope.

Francis Lawrence is directing from a script by Danny Strong. Our report from last month, which confirmed that Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) had replaced Lily Rabe as Commander Lyme, also stated that production would be complete sometime this spring, although a specific wrap date was not given.

Aside from her role as Mitch Larsen in the first season of The Killing, Michelle Forbes has recently had arcs on Chicago Fire, Rake and Orphan Black.
