The Hunt is on March 20!

Image Entertainment, Inc., a leading independent licensee, producer and distributor of home entertainment programming in North America, and Graymark Productions , an independent motion picture and television production company, today announced the March 20 North American DVD release of the feature film The Hunt.

From director Fritz Kiersch (Stephen King's Children of the Corn), The Hunt is an alarming and frightening film that combines elements of The Blair Witch Project and Predator. On a chilly fall morning, Jack Hamberg, his eight-year-old stepson and cameraman Atticus Monroe head into the woods to make an instructional hunting video when their outing takes a disturbing turn. While trespassing on restricted land, they stumble upon the relics of a bizarre religious monument and soon realize they're being stalked by someone or something not of this earth!

In addition to the 90-minute feature film, Image Entertainment's DVD presentation of The Hunt will contain "The Hunt Chronicles" featurette as well as the theatrical trailer. The DVD carries an SRP of $26.99.

Rated R for language and some violent content, The Hunt stars Joe Michael Burke (Guess Who) and co-stars Robert Rusler (Weird Science). The film also features actor Cliff De Young (Suicide Kings), former lead singer for the '60s rock band Clear Light.

The first feature film released by Azisa Pictures, LLP., The Hunt won Best Actor (Robert Rusler) at the 2006 Chicago Horror Film Festival and was nominated for Best Picture (Jonathan de la Luz and Danny Martin, Producers), Best Cinematography (Michael Goi, ASC), and Best Special Effects (David Payne). Gray Frederickson and John Simonelli executive produced.
