Actor-director George Clooney has lined up two new cast members for his latest directorial project The Ides of March, with Max Minghella and Jeffrey Wright signing on.

The story revolves around Ryan Gosling's character, a young press member on the campaign trail with a Democratic presidential candidate (George Clooney) who gets caught up in the dirty tricks of political campaigning. Paul Giamatti is playing a rival campaign manager, while Marisa Tomei is portraying a New York Times reporter and Evan Rachel Wood is playing a campaign intern. Philip Seymour Hoffman is also starring in an unspecified role.

The Ides of March starts shooting this coming January with production taking place in Michigan.
