The In-Laws: Burbank, Calif., August 7, 2003 - Comedy is relative. Especially with The

In-Laws, the side-splitting remake of the cult-classic comedy starring

Academy Awardฎ-winner Michael Douglas (Wonder Boys, Traffic) and Albert

Brooks (Finding Nemo, Mother), tying the knot October 7 on DVD and VHS from

Warner Home Video (WHV). The In-Laws will be available at $27.95 SRP for

the DVD and $22.98 SRP for the VHS.

Douglas and Brooks "make a truly comical combination" (David Sheehan,

CBS-TV) and a "riotously funny comic pairing" (Jeanne Wolf's Hollywood) as

opposites thrust together by their children's wedding in a "rollicking ride"

(US Weekly) that is "frantically funny" (Westwood One Radio). Co-starring

Emmy Award-winner Candice Bergen (Miss Congeniality, Sweet Home Alabama),

Ryan Reynolds (National Lampoon's Van Wilder), Lindsay Sloane (Bring It On)

and Robin Tunney (Vertical Limit, The Craft).

Jerry had the perfect life. Now it's a perfect mess. Days before his

daughter's wedding, he met Steve, the father of the groom. Look on the

bright side, Jerry. You're not losing a daughter. You're gaining a madman.

Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks are the odd couple of the CIA set in a

fast, funny remake of the 1979 original. Douglas is Steve, who says he's a

copier salesman but whose splashy lifestyle, not to mention the agents on

his trail and the vial of nuclear material in his pocket, says otherwise.

Brooks is Jerry, a nerdy podiatrist plunged feet first in Steve's world.

For "a full-tilt onslaught of silly" (Margaret McGurk, The Cincinnati

Enquirer), everyone sooner or later has to meet The In-Laws.
