J.D. Roth is bringing his new quiz show The Interrogator to NBC. According to Variety, the show is based on a format from Eyeworks, a Dutch company that has purchased stock in Roth's 3 Ball Productions.

The show will pit five individuals against one another in a game that involves deception and bluffing. The prize will be large sums of cash. By answering questions right, contestants will be able to peek into five different safes. One of which contains all of the money. The player with the most points at the end of the game gets to open the safe of their choice.

Roth stated, "One of the main goals of the Eyeworks deal was to build a global brand where formats go back and forth, and this is a great example of that. We took one element from the original format, blew it up and came up with this show. The original is a much more straightforward Q&A, but deep down, what works is that it's really about truth and lies. So we decided to make the entire show about that."
