QED International and Safehouse Pictures have landed Brian De Palma to direct their new thriller The Key Man.

Joby Harold (Awake) wrote the screenplay, which centers on a single father who becomes a target of the government because his body holds the answers to many important national secrets. The project was compared to 1970s thrillers such as Three Days of the Condor and Marathon Man.

Bill Block, Paul Hanson, Tory Tunnell, and Joby Harold will produce The Key Man, which QED International is financing.

This will be Brian De Palma's first movie project since the 2007 drama Redacted. No production schedule was given for The Key Man.
