In 2020, they will become kings. 20th Century Fox has released the debut trailer and teaser poster for upcoming film The King's Man. As a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King's Man.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, The King's Man comes to theaters February 2020. This Kingsman prequel invites fans to discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency through the eyes of one man (Ralph Fiennes) who must race against time to stop a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds who gather to plot a war to wipe out millions. And that sure as hell looks like Watchman and The Killing Joke author Alan Moore mixed in there!

The King's Man is a cleverly titled prequel to Matthew Vaughn's sleeper hit Kingsman: The Secret Service starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton, and Michael Caine. The secret agent spoof already saw the release of a sequel in 2017 with Vaughn's Kingsman: The Golden Circle. That follow-up featured Firth, Egerton, and Strong joining forces with Halle Berry, Elton John, Channing Tatum, and Jeff Bridges to take down Julianne Moore. It was not as well-received as the original movie.

But all the same, from here the series is planned to continue ever forward with Kingsman 3 starring Colin Firth and Taron Egerton. And Channing Tatum, Jeff Bridges, and Halle Berry are all set to reprise their roles from Kingsman: The Golden Circle in the American spin-off Statesman. I don't know about all these other Kingsman movies, but a Statesman standalone motion picture is something I'd definitely be up for checking out. And not just because I'm, you know, an American.

But back to the nuts and bolts of this Kingmans prequel, The King's Man. Ralph Fiennes stars in this prequel as T.E. Lawrence along with Harris Dickinson as Conrad, Liam Neeson as Herbert Kitchener, 1st Earl Kitchener, Daniel Brühl as Felix Yusupov, Rhys Ifans as Grigori Rasputin, Gemma Arterton as Mata Hari, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Lee Unwin. Charles Dance joins them as Field Marshall Haig, along with Matthew Goode as Tristan, Tom Hollander as George V / Wilhelm II / Nicholas II, Djimon Hounsou as Shola, Stanley Tucci as Merlin, Alison Steadman as Guinevere, Robert Aramayo as Gavrilo Princip, Alexandra Maria Lara as Polly, and Joel Basman as Gawain.

Like every other The Kingsman movie, this new flick is directed by Matthew Vaughn, who also produced from a screenplay written by Karl Gajdusek based on the comic book by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Henry Jackman will provide this film with its score while Ben Davis handles cinematography, and Jon Harris edits it all together. 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Pictures, and Marv Studios are the powers that be behind this prequel which Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures will unleash into a theater near you on Valentine's Day 2020.
