Keenen Ivory, Marlon and Shawn Wayans are gearing up to produce the scripted comedy The Life and Times of Marcus 'Felony' Brown for VH1. According to the Hollywood Reporter, this is the first time the Wayans brothers have taken one of their projects to cable.

This half-hour single-camera show will revolve around a hard-core East Coast rapper, who, after his album goes platinum, is forced to head to Los Angeles to record his follow-up. Also appearing in the show will be his self-hyping hype man, E-Z (Vince Green); jet-setting manager, Cash (Jon Abrahams); and hard-partying bodyguard, Tiny (Marcello Thedford). Affion Crockett plays Seville, Marcus' personal barber, while Toni Trucks is Tia, Marcus' assistant.

The pilot was recently shot in Los Angeles.
