Check out the new trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 below.

Beginning back in 2019, Star Wars spinoff series The Mandalorian picks up five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Galactic Empire. The series follows title character Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter in the galaxy's outer reaches. He is tasked with retrieving a mysterious child named Grogu, who possesses a strong connection with the Force. While very much a lone warrior, Djarin begins to truly care for the child, killing anyone who threatens him and going against Mandalorian law to keep Grogu safe.

Produced by Lucasfilm, Fairview Entertainment, and Golem Creations, with Jon Favreau once again serving as showrunner, The Mandalorian Season 3 picks up with Djarin and Grogu as they make their way to Mandalore, the home planet of the Mandlorian people.

"The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history,” reads the synopsis for The Mandalorian Season 3. "The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together."

The Mandalorian has been a huge hit for Disney+, and is now considered by many to be the best thing created for the Star Wars franchise in decades. Thus, the studio is putting a lot of time, effort, and money into the continuing journey of The Mandalorian, with showrunner Jon Favreau teasing a much bigger scope this time around.

"I will say that the scope of it is getting bigger, we have really cool space battles, we have lots of Mandalorians, we have the planet of Mandalore which we've been talking about for a long time," Favreau revealed.

The Mandalorian Season 3 will once again find Pedro Pascal taking the lead as Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian. The third season will also see the return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars favorite Bo-Katan Kryze, played once again by Katee Sackhoff, alongside Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, and Emily Swallow as "The Armorer.” Talking of a bigger scope, The Mandalorian Season 3 is all set to add Back to the Future legend Christopher Lloyd and The Goldbergs and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Tim Meadows to proceedings.
