The first trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3 has now leaked online, so catch it quickly before it gets taken down by the iron fist of Disney. Shared to social media by Twitter user starwarsgreat, the footage centers on Pedro Pascal’s bounty hunter and his ward Grogu AKA Baby Yoda, reintroducing audiences with the beloved duo.

While not the best quality, it’s easy to make a lot of what’s on display in the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3, which centers almost solely on Din Djarin and Grogu, as the pair once again make their way across the galaxy and get themselves into all manner of trouble along the way. Teasing a whole host of action sequences, the footage reveals the return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars favorite Bo-Katan Kryze, played once again by Katee Sackhoff, who made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 2.

Details of The Mandalorian Season 3 are being kept largely under wraps at present, but it is expected that Din Djarin will make his way back to his ancestral home of Mandalore and continue to find the balance between the Mandalorian teachings and his actions. The rest of the footage is largely made up of the title character flying through an asteroid intercut with shots of Grogu looking typically adorable.

While we await the official release of the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3, it has recently been revealed that work has already begun on The Mandalorian Season 4. Writer and director Jon Favreau has revealed that he has begun writing the fourth season, and stated that the show will continue to explore the details of the Mandalorians further.

“With television, we're very lucky that we don't have to rush things through into an hour-and-a-half, two hours. We get to tell stories slowly,” Favreau said in May. “So now, as Dave [Filoni]'s doing Ahsoka, it's very much informing the writing that I'm doing for [The Mandalorian] Season 4. It becomes – how should I put it – more precise. When I was writing the first season of Mandalorian, I could do anything, set it anywhere. Dave [Filoni] would read it, we'd go back and forth, I would adjust. And there it was. Now we have to figure out why there are certain Mandalorians who wear helmets, certain ones who don't wear helmets, what's happening on Mandalore, what's Bo-Katan doing at the time? How does she feel about that? Where is the Darksaber? So it really creates very fertile ground for imagination, for storytelling.”

The Mandalorian begins five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Galactic Empire and follows Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter in the galaxy's outer reaches. He is tasked with retrieving a mysterious child named Grogu, who possesses a strong connection with the Force. The Mandalorian has since become a huge success, even giving the often-divided Star Wars fanbase something to root for as a united group.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in February 2023 on the streaming service Disney+.
