The Weinstein Company has made some changes to its fall release schedule today. The studio has moved Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master from October 12 to September 14, and Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly from September 21 to October 19.

The Master will now go up against Pixar's 3D re-release of Finding Nemo and Sony's Resident Evil: Retribution on September 14. The drama will open in limited release, before expanding to more cities September 21. Killing Them Softly will open against Summit's Alex Cross and Paramount's Paranormal Activity 4.

The Master stars Philip Seymour Hoffman as the title character, a man who creates his own belief system in the 1950s, which becomes increasingly popular throughout the United States. Joaquin Phoenix, Laura Dern, and Jesse Plemons also star.

Brad Pitt stars in Killing Them Softly as an enforcer investigating the daring robbery of a high-stakes poker game. Javier Bardem, Mark Ruffalo, Sam Rockwell, and Casey Affleck also star.
