Kim Edwards' best selling novel The Memory Keeper's Daughter is being turned into a telefilm by Lifetime. According to Variety, Mick Jackson is set to direct the drama.

The film will follow the exploits of a doctor who tells his wife their newborn has died. In fact, the child has Down's syndrome and is placed into an institution. Unbeknownst to the heartbroken mother, a nurse raises the baby.

The film will premier sometime in 2008. Casting on The Memory Keeper's Daughter is currently underway.
