The creators behind Netflix's The Toys That Made Us are back with a brand new series The Movies That Made Us. The new series goes behind the scenes of movie classics and is coming out with some big guns. Season 1 is taking a deeper look at Die Hard, Ghostbusters, Home Alone, and Dirty Dancing, which should be a hit right away. As it turns out, making these movies wasn't exactly easy work as the trailer shows us.

The Movies That Made Us was originally announced by Netflix over the summer during San Diego Comic-Con. Movie fans were excited to finally take a look at the docuseries, but the streaming platform did not announce a release date. We now know that the series will debut November 29th, exclusively on Netflix. All four episodes will be released at the same time and they will all be ready to get the binge weekend started.

Dan Aykroyd is featured in the trailer talking about the making of Ghostbusters, which apparently cost quite a bit of money to make. Speaking of money, the show more than likely set Netflix back a decent amount of cash too. We're seeing footage from all four of these classic movies, along with commentary from the people behind-the-scenes and the actors that made the movies happen. Dirty Dancing almost didn't make it into theaters, which should be a pretty interesting story. John McClane was apparently seen as wuss because he was always running away from the villains. That's an interesting take on one of the biggest action heroes of all time.

The Nacelle Company, which produces The Toys That Made Us, are the ones responsible for The Movies That Made Us. Nacelle founder and CEO Brian Volk Weiss directs new series and executive produces alongside Cisco Henson, Ben Frost, and Jay Chapman. One has to wonder if they will be able to make another season of a show that focuses on some of the biggest movies in cinematic history. They have been very successful with The Toys That Made Us, which just debuted its season 3.

Die Hard, Ghostbusters, Home Alone, and Dirty Dancing are all going to be looked at under the microscope in The Movies That Made Us. We should all learn some of the deep dark secrets that helped get these movies made and then a look into what made them so massive when they were released. The Toys That Made Us just took deep dives into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, along with My Little Pony, pro wrestling, and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Each franchise is so different, with a unique story to tell. You can check out the trailer for The Movies That Made Us above, thanks to Netflix streaming service.
