The latest photo from the set of The Munsters gives us another great peek at the family home that sits at 1313 Mockingbird Lane. Currently, a new take on The Munsters is being developed as a feature film by director and superfan Rob Zombie. From the start of production and all throughout, Zombie has been open with his fans about the movie's status, sharing various photos of the set along with the cast.

Typically, Zombie's photo teases have been presented in black and white, giving the sneak peeks a certain Munsters vibe in line with the original comedy series. His newest photo reveals the outside of the fully-constructed house in broad daylight and in color, and the structure is just absolutely gorgeous. It's hard not to get excited as a Munsters fan when seeing these teases, and you can check out the new photo for yourself below.

Another popular image released in promotion of The Munsters was the unveiling of the three main cast members: Jeff Daniel Phillips, Sheri Moon Zombie, and Dan Roebuck. The three are playing Herman Munster, Lily, and Grandpa, respectively. The first photo that unveiled this cast sees them seated in front of the 1313 Mockingbird Lane house. In a recent interview with Horror Geek Life, Roebuck detailed what it was like suiting up as Grandpa and stepping in front of the Munsters' house, which had been recreated from scratch.

"I love how Rob was just showing glimpses of their progress. Then I was just blown away by what they’d done," Roebuck said. "Based on the photo he put out, you know I was able to stand in front of that house and it was great. It’s as close to the original house it could ever be. That street used to be on the Universal backlot, but it was moved to make way for Amblin Entertainment. The house has been moved and then built over numerous times; he started from scratch and it was done perfectly, just perfection. That house should give you an idea of the detail with which this brilliant director is approaching the material."

Roebuck added, "I really hope audiences walk away feeling entertained and laughing. That’s all we really hope for making any movie, well, unless it’s a drama. If all goes well and people really like, maybe we’ll get the chance to do it again. I just hope people realize that they’ll have a whole new version of The Munsters that can live and co-exist side-by-side with the original version of The Munsters. No one wants to replace it, we all love it so much. We just want to shine a spotlight on it with our approach which I think is the best way to look at it."

The Munsters also stars Richard Brake as the mad scientist Dr. Wolfgang and Sylvester McCoy as Igor. We're still waiting on more cast members to be officially announced, but as of now, it's unclear if Eddie Munster and Marilyn will make it into the movie and who they'll be played by. In any case, The Munsters movie has our interest piqued. No release date has yet been announced for the feature. Stay tuned for updates.
