The Muppets, set to hit theaters on November 23, has a slew of cameo performances from such actors as Billy Crystal, Alan Arkin, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. Steve Carell was another actor set for a small role, although he was forced to decline the offer due to scheduling conflicts. Here's what the actor had to say about his proposed cameo below.

"I'm not in The Muppets film. It was discussed, I talked to them, but it didn't work out. I wasn't able to do it."

The actor was apparently set to portray himself in a dinner scene at Mc Chow's Restaurant, which features Pepe the King Prawn, Sweetums, and a number of other famous actors such as Jack Black. Since Jack Black actually is in the movie, it seems that scene may still exist in the final cut of The Muppets, just without Steve Carell.
